Discount department stores are quite possibly one of the largest stories in retail history. From the likes of Walmart, Kmart, and Tagret, to the other likes of Ames, Bradlees, Caldor, James, Venture, Hills, Ann & Hope, Zayre, Zellers, etc.

So I now present to you, a project that I've been working on in the background for years now (3 years as of releasing this), The Retail 247 Discount Store list !!

Ok? So what's that?

It's a Google Sheets list of every discount department store chain (that I know of), and where they were located

Discount department store locations, from all 50 of the US States, Canada, the U.K., and even Germany.

Make sure to read the notes!!

If the name of a specific store has a black triangle next to it, that means there's a note left there, you can read it by hovering over it

These notes are very important!! Why? Because the notes might have important information on them, such as if that specific location closed before the rest of the chain. Not to mention that most of them include photos of the store!! Well, links, that lead to photos of the store.

And sometimes both.

When it comes to the photos that are attached to the notes, some of them are photos of the store when it was still open, and some of them are photos of the store after it closed and is abandoned.

Sorry if any of that is confusing

Mobile Users

If your viewing this list on mobile you cant read the notes unless you open the Google Sheets document through the Google Sheets or Google Docs app. Also, you cant copy and paste the photo links, therefore you unfortunately cannot view them. It is recommended that you take a screenshot of the image link and somehow extract the text from the said screenshot and paste it into your web browser of choise.

Its also mainly recommended to view this document on a computer instead of on a mobile device.

Oh, and also;

If theres something that you feel needs to be added (such as a missing or incorrect store address), feel feel to right click (or hold down if on mobile) and leave a comment letting me know what you want to be added.

Also be sure to take a quick glance at the "info" section / portion of the Google Sheet.
